Mixing new Tokso album

In January Tokso recorded our new album at Jønnbu in Bø, Telemark, with bass player Jo Fougner Skaansar and percussionist Bijan Chemirani. I have composed the music for this album, which contains music created to the Norse creation myth Voluspá. Today I and sound engineer Fridtjof Lindeman have mixed it, and in mid September this year it will be released at Grappa Musikkforlag. It was a joy to record in the mountains of the beautiful mountain area Lifjell, I grew up on the other side of Lifjell, and this was the first time I had seen this area from "the other side". Driving up and down was quite a challenge in a very heavy snowfall, but on the day we took this photo, some of us might have wished for a little less sun, whereas other wisely brought their sunglasses or smiled defiantly. From left: Jo Fougner Skaansar, Bijan Chemirani, Sigrun Eng, Kelly Thoma, Fridtjof Lindeman, Eléonore Billy, and myself. Photo: Jo Fougner Skaansar (I guess..)
